Years of
Experience

With over 15 years of experience in healthcare, I’ve seen the power of compassionate listening and the deep transformations that happen when people feel safe sharing their stories. I began my professional journey as a licensed medical doctor in Pakistan and later earned a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) from Cambridge, UK. Along the way, I worked in clinical, public health, and community settings, supporting people through illness, stress, trauma, and transition.

These experiences taught me that healing must go beyond the physical. It requires emotional safety, meaningful connection, and space to make sense of one’s inner world. My own life transitions deepened this understanding and ultimately led me to psychotherapy, a profession that has felt like coming home.

Today, I bring my healthcare insight, cultural sensitivity, and therapeutic training to every session. At Horizon Healing Psychotherapy, I offer a warm, inclusive, and client-centred space where children, individuals, couples, and families can feel supported and empowered in their healing journey.

Got A Question

Frequently Asked Questions

Let’s take the uncertainty out of getting started.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s okay to have questions. Below are some of the most common things people ask before beginning. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to [reach out], I’m happy to help.

What can I expect in my first session?

The first session is a gentle introduction. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’d like to explore, and what your goals might be. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. It’s also a chance for you to get a sense of how I work and whether I feel like the right fit for you.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, curious about your emotions, or just needing someone to talk to, you’re in the right place. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. It’s for anyone who wants support, clarity, or change.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. All sessions are currently offered online via a secure video platform. You can join from the comfort and privacy of your own space, no commuting needed.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes. Longer sessions may be arranged upon request, depending on your needs.
